THE Camden Sunday League roared back into action at the weekend with goal blitz at Hackney Marshes.
The season’s first 11 fixtures saw a staggering 67 goals, 39 of which came on an explosive opener in Division Three.
One of the results of weekend saw Boundary Estate net a
comprehensive 11-2 victory over newcomers Stamford Athletic, a team set
up in the summer by former Boundary midfielder Pablo Rodriguez.
Danger man Carl Halewood was in exceptional form as he hit the back
of the net no fewer than five times. Two goals from Sam Kidby and
strikes from Leo Spicer-Phelps, Stefan Swift, Sam Kidby and debutant George Harris, along with an own-goal, completed the rout.
Another in-form sharp-shooter was Simon Higgins, who hit a
hat-trick as Chalk Scratchings FC ran out 8-1 victors against league
newcomers Rosemary Athletic. Chris Douse hit two, while Kester Byass,
Chris Clarke and Freddie Cull were also all on target
